How long have you worked at BDS?
It will be five years as of September 15th.
Three words to describe your role
Supportive, Focused, and rewarding.
Can you tell us more about your role, and what you like most about it?
I am a part of our sales admin team. In my role, I manage our customer implementations which includes copier installations, maintenance inspection, pickups, and more. I really enjoy the daily interactions I have with our customers and team. Everyone at BDS really comes together as a team, to make our customers our #1 priority. It’s a very collaborative environment.
What is something that most people at BDS do not know about you?
I initially went to school for cosmetology and business. I was a hair stylist for a couple of years, but realized my passion is more focused on the business aspect.
How would you describe your personality?
I try to keep a positive attitude all the time. Everyone has bad days, but I don’t try to ever bring any negativity into the workplace or my day-to-day interactions. I like to make people feel valued.
Where is your happy place?
I would definitely say being by the ocean. I have always loved the beach and grew up going to old line shores in Connecticut with my family. That place will always have a special place in my heart. This summer I took a vacation with my husband and my daughter in York, Maine. I immediately fell in love with Maine, so that’s my definitely my favorite place I’ve ever been.
One thing you cannot live without?
Definitely my whole family. We are very family oriented. And of course, coffee, anyone that knows me knows I can’t go a day without my coffee.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
I have two. One thing I always tell my daughter is, you can do anything that you set your mind to.
The other one, is a quote from Maya Angelou, “People may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
What do you like best about BDS?
BDS really is such a great company. It’s really cool to see us grow. When I started, we had just a few people on our team and now we have a whole group of people. It’s great. BDS really cares about their employees, and they go the extra mile to make everyone feel valued. There’s always recognition for hard work. Everyone is valuable and makes a difference.
