How long have you worked at BDS?
In September I will have been here 3 Years. I have been part of Operations for 2 of those years and this past year I have been a Deal Desk Specialist under Sales and Marketing.
Three words/phrases to describe your role
Challenging, Rewarding, Educational
Can you tell us more about your role, and what you like most about it?
What I have liked most about my time here would have to be the various Challenges and Projects I have been a part of, from helping reshape the warehouse for current and future expansion, helping shape and mold newer departments and yes and how they work.
What is something that most people at BDS do not know about you?
To all the remote employees, many of you don’t know I am an avid Smoked BBQ Grill master. I have prepared Smoked Texas style Brisket for my family and friends; I have also had some made for our Marlborough Office crew when I was in Operations
How would you describe your personality?
The outdoorsman accountant. I love the outdoors and hiking. When it comes to work and work-related things, I’m very structured. If it doesn’t match up or the numbers don’t align, I get frustrated.
Where is your happy place?
Poultney Vermont has been a place that I have gone too for many years. A family friend’s farmhouse with no internet, spotty cell connections, and a perfect place to escape to when a break from our high-tech world is needed.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
While friends and coworkers might say it’s my beard, it is actually my Goddaughter Serena. She is 3 and has been the light of my life a few years now.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
“You’re only given a little spark of madness, You mustn’t lose it”-Robin Williams. I have to remind myself to stop doing what “I have to-do” sometimes and get out of my own way in order to have fun.
What do you like best about BDS?
The people who I have worked with over these past few years. Everyone has an understanding and care for other people’s time and effort. A drive to improve themselves and subsequently the company as a whole.
