How long have you worked at BDS?
I’ve been at BDS for almost one year now. One year in November.
Three words/phrases to describe your role
Reliable, Efficient, and Punctual
Can you tell us more about your role, and what you like most about it?
I feel that as drivers, we are most of the time the first point of physical contact with a client. So, to be able to show up and deliver that professionalism and help save the day is a good feeling. We usually get a warm welcome and excited customers for their new copiers.
What is something that most people at BDS do not know about you?
I came to this country at about 9 or 10 years old and had to learn how to speak the language.
How would you describe your personality?
I stay ready so i don’t have to get ready. As a driver, you never know what’s going to happen. So I like to stay ready and adaptable.
Where is your happy place?
I’m a dad of 3, so my happy place is my home. I remember as a young man seeing my neighbor come home after a day of work with his lunch box and backpack and I remember thinking that’s what adults do. Now I’m that guy, and when I come home with my lunch box and backpack, I’m greeted by my kids who feel like they haven’t seen me in forever.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
I would have to say my wife. She’s everything to me.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
Again, staying ready. That’s one thing that helps keep me centered and stay positive. As a driver, you might not know who you’ll encounter or who’s having a rough day on the road. So, I always like to get myself prepared and my mind in a positive space.
What do you like best about BDS?
This is a very family-oriented company. From the beginning once I got hired, it was as if I was a missing part of the family. They embraced not just me, but also my kids and family. I want to shout out to the Warehouse team and BDS for throwing me a baby shower. This came out of nowhere and I was so shocked and surprised. For only knowing me 5-6 months and offer that big gesture to me and my wife, it’s something we’ll never forget. It was incredible seeing the break room decorated with gifts and balloons. So definitely the family atmosphere.
